Having performed thousands of deep brain stimulation surgeries and pioneered innovative treatment methods, PARMER brought together global experts in the field through its NeuroLab Istanbul 2024 event.<br \/>Leadership in Movement Disorders<br \/>\nEstablished in 2018 and recognized as a \u201cCenter of Excellence and Education\u201d in 2019, PARMER stands out as Turkey\u2019s first independent movement disorders center. Utilizing advanced treatment methods such as Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and MR-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS), the center has given hope to countless patients, successfully performing over 1,400 DBS surgeries to date.<br \/>Beyond providing treatment, the center also offers training to specialists in the region through its multidisciplinary approach. Doctors from Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkic states have the opportunity to learn about modern treatment methods for movement disorders at PARMER. Experts from around the world came together at this event to discuss modern treatment methods and exchange knowledge.<br \/>Prominent figures in the field, such as Prof. Dr. Alfonso Fasano from the University of Toronto and Prof. Dr. Andres Lozano, former Chair of Neurosurgery at the same university, were among the distinguished participants. Prof. Dr. Ali Z\u0131rh, a Neurosurgery Specialist at Medipol University Parkinson\u2019s Disease and Movement Disorders Center, highlighted the revolutionary impact of MR-guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS) treatment for Parkinson\u2019s patients. Emphasizing its non-surgical nature, Dr. Z\u0131rh stated, \u201cBy focusing sound waves on the target area, we can quickly stop tremors.
