Assoc. Prof. Buse Çağla Arı is a neurologist specializing in Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. She completed her medical education at the Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine and pursued her residency in neurology at the Erenköy Training and Research Hospital for Psychiatric and Neurological Diseases. Her specialization thesis focused on genetic predisposition and the development of dyskinesia in Parkinson’s disease. Her clinical and academic work is centered on the causes, progression, and personalized treatment approaches for Parkinson’s disease.
After completing her compulsory medical service at Siirt State Hospital, she continued her clinical and academic career in Istanbul. She served as a faculty member and Head of the Department of Neurology at the Bahçeşehir University Faculty of Medicine. She was awarded the title of Associate Professor in March 2024.
Her primary areas of practice include the integrated assessment of motor and non-motor symptoms in Parkinson’s patients, tailoring medication plans to the individual, and ensuring safe, long-term follow-up. She focuses on early diagnosis, holistic approaches to slow disease progression, and providing guidance-based monitoring for caregivers and families. Additionally, she has extensive clinical experience in interventional treatments and botulinum toxin (Botox) applications for movement disorders and headaches.
With numerous national and international scientific publications to her credit, Dr. Arı aims to provide a reassuring, clear, and individualized treatment process by merging current medical knowledge with clinical experience. Since 2024, she has been continuing the diagnosis and treatment of Parkinson’s and other neurological diseases at the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER) at Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital.
