Asst. Prof. Gökhan Özkoçak graduated from Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine in 2014. He began his residency at the Uludağ University Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and completed his specialist training in 2019 at the University of Health Sciences, Istanbul Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Training and Research Hospital.
In 2019, he was appointed to Gümüşhane State Hospital for his state compulsory medical service. After completing his compulsory service, Dr. Özkoçak began his academic career at Istanbul Aydın University in 2021. He practiced at Medicana Bahçelievler Hospital between 2021 and 2022, and at Acıbadem Bakırköy Hospital from 2022 to 2024.
His primary clinical interests include Stroke (Hemiplegia), Spinal Cord Injuries, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Cerebral Palsy, Fibromyalgia, Postural Disorders, Cervical and Lumbar Disc Herniations (Slipped Discs), Osteoarthritis (Joint Calcification), Rheumatic Diseases, and Musculoskeletal Pain.
He has participated in numerous national and international congresses regarding ultrasound-guided injections (Stem Cell, Exosome, PRP, and Botox), neural therapy, mesotherapy, ozone therapy, and various rehabilitation applications.
In 2024, he established the Physical Therapy and Robotic Rehabilitation Center at Medipol Acıbadem Regional Hospital, where he continues his work in collaboration with the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER).
