On April 7th, 2018, a record attempt was organized by DBS Patients Association (BeyPilDer) under the auspices of Medipol Education and Health Group, to raise awareness about Parkinson’s disease prior to World Parkinson’s Day on April 11th. At the Grand Cevahir Hotel and Convention Center, a total of 329 Parkinson’s patients, the majority of whom had been operated on by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Zırh one of Medipol Mega University Hospital, successfully broke the first Guinness World Record in the field of medical treatment in Turkey. At the end of the event, Parkinson’s patients who had undergone DBS surgery accompanied the Anatolian Fire dancers by playing percussion instruments. Singer Gülben Ergen also added color to the event with her songs.
