The initial treatment for movement disorders characterized by tremors, such as Parkinson’s, is medication therapy. Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), has shown successful results in patients who do not respond adequately to medication, experience severe tremor episodes, and exhibit excessive rigidity and stiffness. In addition to that, conditions such as “Essential Tremor” and “Dystonia,” which involve excessive muscle contractions, have also been treated successfully with DBS when medical treatment proves insufficient.
