Medipol University Hospital Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center (PARMER) was opened on 3 September 2018 under Medipol Education and Health Group. For the first time in Turkey, there is a center that only concentrates on the diagnosis and treatment of movement disorders, with Parkinson’s coming first, and it leads the researches in this field. Our clinic also supports the treatments for Parkinson’s disease, essential tremor and other tremor types and dystonia, Parkinson’s Plus Syndromes (multi system atropia, progressive supranuclear palsy), Tardive syndromes, Choreas, Huntington’s disease, paroxysmal dyskinesias, myoclonies, Tourette syndrome and Wilson’s disease.
The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center of Medipol University Hospital also attracts attention with different workshops (percussion, calligraphy, pictures, etc.) that are developed with the aim of providing information seminars for patients and their relatives, balance and speech rehabilitation, psychological testing and support services and socialization of patients.
